“The poet writes to make sense of the world, and in turn, creates a world of meaning and purpose. The poet imbues the world with new meanings that she creates, new meanings that she explores about what it means to be alive, and what it means to be human. While the poet strives to create a personal meaning for herself, she also seeks to illuminate meanings to and for others. So too, the poet/practitioner seeks to maximize an individual's self of meaning in the world.”

word: love

Everything can be traced back to love or the perceived lack thereof. Love is truth and the rest is perception, infinite expansion. There is no need for hate, doubt, or shame in regards to a universal understanding of self. To exist is to be, a quiet acceptance of reality. Source, God, Allah, Spirit, All has no need for these restrictions but understands the illusions are there to comprehend what truth even is.

emotion: shame

When shame becomes an internal voice, eventually it becomes hard to decipher the source. This develops into a humiliation ritual, one that is acted on in the mind and/or sought after in the physical. Needing evidence to support a lack of esteem, a reason to perpetuate the thoughts that exist. It becomes a trap of mental self harm, one where the actions now have to support internal beliefs. Shame is a reflection of self, a distortion of presence. Again, guilt and embarrassment can be gateways to shame, tools meant to belittle and manipulate.

Shame is a prison, a cage, an incubator of rejection. It’s separation from the whole, forced isolation.

word: accountability

Accountability acknowledges the responsibility of choice. It requires confidence. It's an act of self love; it becomes about confirming rather than proving. There's nothing to prove when you have a deep knowing of oneself. It's the realization that you aren’t your circumstances. You aren’t what happened to you. You aren’t how people treat you.

word: discover

Discovery is a collective and individual experience. It's the unknown turning into the known. Discovery can be in the form of thought as well as feelings. I have discovered so much of myself by digging deeper into my emotional landscape. The invisible still exists and discovery is destined. You don't have to travel far, if at all, to discover. Merely observe.
